Bush Flying & Utility

Utility flying is a different discipline to passenger charter. The aircraft is chosen for payload, door size and surface performance, and the crew is chosen for experience of the strip.

We arrange utility and bush operations across the region for conservation organisations, exploration and energy projects, NGOs, research teams and film units.

Typical missions

• Remote field logistics. Crew rotations, equipment and supplies into camps and project sites without road access.
• Conservation support. Ranger deployment, anti-poaching patrol support and wildlife translocation logistics.
• Freight and outsize cargo. Cargo-door aircraft for loads that will not fit through a passenger door.
• Medical and emergency uplift. Aircraft sourced at short notice for urgent evacuation from remote strips.

Planning that matters

Strip length, surface, elevation, obstacles and density altitude all constrain what an aircraft can lift. We plan the payload against the strip before we quote — so the number you receive is the number that flies.
