An expedition itinerary into country that is genuinely remote. By road this would be the better part of a week of hard driving; flown, it is five days with the time spent where it matters.
Day by day
- Day 1. Charter from Wilson to Samburu. Afternoon drive along the Ewaso Ng'iro.
- Day 2. Full day tracking the arid-country specials — Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, oryx.
- Day 3. Charter north-west to Lodwar. Transfer to the lake shore.
- Day 4. Lake Turkana by boat, Central Island volcanic crater lakes, and the Koobi Fora palaeontological sites.
- Day 5. Turkana cultural visit, then the charter back to Nairobi.
