The Mara and the Serengeti are one ecosystem divided by an international border. Flying between them takes under an hour; doing it by road takes a full day and a difficult land crossing.
Border formalities
This is an international sector. We clear customs and immigration at both ends — usually through Migori or Musoma — and build the clearance stop into the schedule. It is not something to attempt informally.
